Council Statement Regarding Superintendent Search

​Upon hearing of the retirement of Mr. Tolley, NSD Superintendent, at the end of June of 2025, the Northshore Council PTSA board of directors drafted a statement in support of a search for a new superintendent through a transparent process that includes community involvement. 

​The superintendent plays a crucial role in shaping our school district's educational environment and future, and our board of directors believes that we should cast a wide net to hire the most qualified candidate.

At the Monday, February 10, 2025, NSD School Board Meeting, the following statement was given to the school board members during association comments:

The Northshore Council PTSA Board was sorry to hear that Superintendent Tolley will be retiring at the end of this school year. We would like to thank Mr. Tolley for his service and leadership in the Northshore School District. 

As the superintendent plays a crucial role in shaping our school district's educational environment and future, we are happy to hear that the school board will be hiring a search firm to aid in the superintendent search. We thank the school board directors for your commitment to casting a wide net to find the best candidate to lead our school district.

We look forward to being given the opportunity once again to provide input on desired candidate traits and feedback on the candidate search, as we did two years ago. The Northshore Council PTSA Board of Directors thanks you for your time and consideration.
