Do you believe in kids?
Then you should become a PTA/PTSA member!

PTA membership is our voice and vote. It is not about volunteering or attending meetings. PTA is the oldest child advocacy organization in existence that gives all parents a voice in their children’s education. PTA continues to be relevant as it advocates for ALL children and provides opportunities to make a difference in the life of kids. Membership is the heart of PTA and we all make a difference, so consider becoming a member today.

Membership Remittance Dues & Council Fees

Membership Service Fees ($9.50 per member)
$2.25 for National PTA*
$5.75 for Washington State PTA
$1.50 for Northshore Council PTSA 6.10
*NOTE: At the 2024 NPTA Convention, delegates approved an increase of $1 ($3.25) which will become effective July 1, 2025.
MEMBERSHIP DUES REMITTANCE PROCEDURES ARE DIFFERENT USING GIVEBACKS!
Membership service fees are paid directly to WSPTA via e-check/ACH through Givebacks. Membership service fees should be paid by the 1st of each month. To see service fees owed, when logged in to Givebacks, navigate to "Memberships" > "Remit State Dues". Only the Treasurer or President of a local PTA may process the payment of dues through Givebacks. Currently, there is a $2 fee to process this payment through Givebacks.

2025-2026 Council Fees Update!
At the May 19, 2025, Council General Membership meeting, members voted to approve two new Council fee structures.
  • Northshore Council PTSA will waive Council membership fees for the 2025-26 school year. Council will collect a Grant fee of $50 from all Northshore PTA/PTSAs, excluding Northshore Special Education Community (NSEC) PTSA and Sorenson PTA. The $50 Grant fee will be put into a restricted fund and only be used for the Council Grant Program. This will only be a temporary measure. Beginning July 1, 2026, Council fees will return to the fee structure that is in the Council Standing Rules, whatever that may be. The goal is to spend down accumulated funds, give PTAs a reprieve from some fees for a year, and give time to research new fee structure options that could be implemented July 1, 2026 (pending member approval).
  • Beginning July 1, 2026, there will be a new fee structure. Currently, that structure will be a $200 annual fee. PTA/PTSAs of Title 1 schools will pay $100. Northshore Special Education Community (NSEC) PTSA and Sorenson PTA will not pay a fee. There will no longer be a per membership fee, or a $100 Council programs fee charged. This may change as Council researches new fee structure options over the next several months to propose to membership.

2024-2025 PAYING COUNCIL FEES
Council fees can no longer be paid automatically. Each council in our state has a different process for remittance of fees by their local PTAs.
Northshore Council PTSA has decided to invoice PTAs three times during the year on November 1st, February 1st and June 1st with payment being due by the 15th of those months in a manner chosen by the PTA. Please see the PDF below for details regarding payment of council fees!
