Washington State PTA

Washington State PTA (WSPTA) was founded in 1905 under the name Washington Congress of Parents and Teachers and is the largest volunteer organization in the state, boasting almost 135,00 members. WSPTA's unwavering mission is for every child's potential to become a reality. When you join PTA, you are strengthening PTA's collective voice in advocating for the health, safety and well-being of all children.

Washington State PTA Programs

PTA Men's Essay - Men make a difference in the lives of the children and children are more successful in and out of school when they have the guidance of an involved male role model. Washington State PTA promoted a statewide essay contest that explored this vital relationship – from our children’s perspective. Click here to see past essays, applications and rules. Essays must be postmarked by March 1, 2021. PTA Reflections Program - The Reflections Program is a National PTA and WSPTA cultural arts competition. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. This is typically a fall program. Learn more... |
Scholarship Program - Each year, the Washington State PTA awards a limited number of scholarships to graduates from Washington State public high schools. Washington State PTA scholarships are awarded on the basis of 1) financial need 2) academic performance and 3) leadership & community service. Game Development Competition - The WSPTA//Game Development Competition is a Washington State PTA STEM-based program that supports student success for students in grades 9-12. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves, either individually or in teams, by creating a computer game. Learn more... WA State PTA Awards - Awards recognize and celebrate the hard work PTAs do for their community. Application deadline for all awards is March 1st, 2021.
