  • The Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) is a congressionally ratified organization that provides form and structure to interstate mutual aid. Through EMAC, a disaster-impacted State can request and receive assistance from other member States quickly and efficiently, resolving two key issues upfront: liability and reimbursement.
  • The Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) is a capabilities and performance-based exercise program that provides a standardized policy, methodology, and language for designing, developing, conducting, and evaluating all exercises.
  • FEMA’s Independent Study Program offers courses that support the nine mission areas identified by the National Preparedness Guidelines.
  • Ready.gov provides information to people on how to prepare themselves, their families and their communities in the event of an emergency situation.
