Membership Tips to Start the Year Strong!

A hallway display at school, acknowledging all your PTA members, can be a wonderful way to celebrate your PTAs growth!

• Remind all board members and committee chairs whose job membership is for your PTA – EVERYONE’S. If you don’t have members, there is no PTA!

• Spread the word about Northshore Council’s Membership Training on Monday, Sept. 17th.  Longtime membership teacher Cindy Jensen will share valuable information and as always her infectious passion for attracting members to our wonderful work for kids.
• Do all your members look like you? Think outside the box about what you can do to update your membership campaign to attract ALL families.
• Is it easy for PTA supporters like grandparents and community members to know that you would like to offer membership?
• Set a membership goal and include your entire community in on the celebration as you work toward that goal. Northshore’s goal is for all PTAs to achieve 50% of last year’s membership by September 30th – that’s the Bronze Level. You can all do it!
• As you set your events calendar for the year, think how each one can attract new people to become members.
  
• Market and brand everything you do all over the school, so people say, “PTA truly is a huge part of our community!”
